Emotional support
Our Making SENSE of Trauma service is designed to support you on your journey of healing. We will walk alongside you, offering emotional support, practical tools, resources and coping strategies to help you move forward after experiencing trauma.
Who can access this service:
If you live in Bedfordshire
- Anyone affected by any type of sexual violence aged 16 and above*
- All genders
If you live in Peterborough, Fenland or Huntingdonshire
- Anyone affected by any type of sexual violence aged 14 and above*
- All genders
*For safeguarding reasons, referrals for survivors aged under 18 must be made by a professional
Counselling
Our counselling service is available to children who have experienced sexual violence and is delivered by experienced and qualified counsellors
Who can access this service:
If you live in Bedfordshire
- Children aged 5 to 16*
- All genders
If you live in Peterborough, Fenland or Huntingdonshire
- Service currently unavailable
*For safeguarding reasons, referrals for survivors aged under 18 must be made by a professional

- Regardless of when this happened to you – whether recently or a long time ago
- Regardless of whether you have reported to the police or not
Advocacy Services
Our advocacy service is delivered by Independent Sexual Violence Advocates. We use the term ‘ISVA’ when supporting adults and ‘ChISVA’ when supporting children and young people.
If you are thinking about reporting to the police, your ISVA/ChISVA can discuss your options and explain the process so you can make an informed choice.
If you have already reported to the police, your ISVA/ChISVA will be your advocate and support you through the whole criminal justice process
