Volunteer

Peterborough Rape Crisis Care Group (PRCCG) was established in 1983 in response to a need amongst women and girls for a safe, confidential, non-judgmental support service.

Vounteer with PRCCG

If you’re active, enthusiastic and want to be involved in supporting PRCCG then we’d love to talk to you about being part of our Volunteer Fundraising Group. Over the years many wonderful women have come forward to be part of our amazing group of volunteers. Helping to raise awareness of the important work we do and inspire our local community to play their part.

As a fundraising volunteer, you’ll work as a team to organise local fundraising events and activities that raise the vital funds we need to keep our services running. It’s thanks to this level of support that we can develop new services to further help the survivors of sexual violence.

Who are we particularly looking for?

Women over the age of 18 from any ethnic or religious background. The qualities and skills that will help you be a great volunteer include:

  • Interested in discussing and learning about rape/sexual violence and the impacts on individuals
  • Happy to work as part of a team
  • Be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Enthusiastic and confident
  • Friendly and polite
  • Committed and trustworthy
  • Commit to attending monthly group meetings (evenings)
